How to Raise Your Hand in a Zoom Meeting

Overview

Description: This guide explains how to raise your hand in Zoom to get the host’s attention without interrupting the meeting. 

Estimated time of completion: 1 minute 

Instructions

  1. Join your Zoom meeting. 
  2. Click on the “Reactions” button in the meeting toolbar.

  3. Select the “Raise Hand” icon from the list of options.

  4. Your raised hand will appear next to your name in the participant list, alerting the host that you wish to speak.
  5. Click “Lower Hand” when you no longer need to speak.

Troubleshooting

  • If you don’t see the “Raise Hand” option, update your Zoom client to the latest version.
  • Ensure your internet connection is stable to avoid delays.
