How to Join Meeting Through Canvas

Overview

Description: This guide explains how to join a Zoom meeting directly from your Canvas course link. 

Estimated time of completion: 2 minutes 

Instructions

  1. Log in to your Canvas account and navigate to your course dashboard. 
  2. Locate the Zoom link provided by your instructor, typically found in the Modules or Announcements section. 
  3. Click on the Zoom link to open the meeting details. 
  4. Click “Join” to enter the Zoom meeting. 
  5. If prompted, allow Zoom to open the app or download the client if not already installed. 

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you are logged in to Canvas before attempting to join the meeting.
  • If the link doesn’t work, try copying and pasting it directly into your browser.
