Grammarly Setup Guide

Overview

Description: This guide shows you how to setup Grammarly on your device.  

Estimated time of completion: 7 minutes 

Instructions

  1. Download Grammarly 
  2. Open Grammarly 
    • Open the Grammarly application. It’s integrated with Capitol’s Single Sign-On (SSO) system. 
  3. Sign In Using SSO 
    • You’ll be directed to log in using Capitol’s SSO. Log in with your Capitol Microsoft Online username (@captech.edu) and password to log in.

  4. Click “Activate Grammarly” 
    • Once logged in, click the Activate Grammarly button to enable your account.

  5. Access the Grammarly Dashboard 
    • After activation, you’ll be taken to the Grammarly Dashboard, where you can access all Grammarly features.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot download or install Grammarly 
    • Verify your internet connection and ensure you have sufficient storage on your device. If the issue persists, try downloading the installer again or check if your system meets Grammarly’s installation requirements. 
  • Unable to log in via SSO 
    • Confirm you’re using your correct Capitol credentials. If you’re unable to access SSO, try resetting your password or contacting IT support for assistance. 
  • “Activate Grammarly” button not working 
    • Refresh the page or restart the application. Check for any pending updates, as outdated versions may cause issues with activation.
