How to Log in to Canvas
Overview
Description: This guide will help you log in to Canvas using Capitol Technology’s M365 Single Sign-On (SSO) system.
Estimated time of completion: 1 minute
Instructions
- Ensure you are logged into your Capitol Technology M365 account.
- Open your web browser and navigate to the Canvas login page (Chrome and Firefox are recommended): https://captechu.instructure.com
- If you’re already logged into your M365 account, you will be automatically directed to your Canvas dashboard.
- If prompted, confirm your M365 credentials to complete the login process.
- Complete any two-factor authentication steps if required.
Troubleshooting
- Not Redirecting to Canvas? Ensure you are logged into your Capitol Technology M365 account.
- Check that you are using a compatible browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended).
- Login Page Appearing Even When Logged into M365? Try logging out and back into your M365 account and revisit the Canvas link.
- Other Issues? Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then try logging in again.
- Try accessing Canvas in an incognito or private browsing window.
