How to Record a PowerPoint Presentation in MS Teams

Overview

Description: This guide will show you how to record a PowerPoint Presentation in MS Teams. 

Estimated Time of Completion (ETOC): 6 minutes

Instructions

  1. Start a video call meeting in Teams

  2. Share your screen

  3. Select the PowerPoint you want to present
  4. Click the More Actions button

  5. Select Start Recording

  6. To stop recording, navigate back to the meeting tool bar and select Stop recording
    • You can also use the Record tab to access all the options for recording your slide show.

Troubleshooting

Here are some tips for recording a presentation in Microsoft Teams: [4 

  • To avoid lag, you can turn off your camera in the meeting so that your profile icon appears instead. [4 
  • You can manage your recordings by pausing, stopping, replaying, and using the pen, highlighter, or eraser tools. [5 
  • To remove narration or timings, you can select Clear in record mode and choose to clear the recording on the current slide or all slides. [5 
  • You can turn off recorded slide timings by clearing the Use Timings box on the Slide Show tab. [6 
  • You can turn off recorded narrations and ink by clearing the Play Narrations box on the Slide Show tab. [6
