FYI: All TurnItIn assignments have a designated feedback release date. While students can see their grade before this date, they won’t be able to access feedback until it is released. Since TurnItIn does not send a second notification when feedback becomes available, students may miss the comments and insights you provided.

Recommendation: To ensure students receive timely feedback, consider adjusting the feedback release date so it aligns more closely with when grades are posted.

Syncing Grades to Canvas (If Applicable)

  • If Turnitin is set to automatically sync grades to the Canvas Gradebook, they should appear after grading.
  • If grades do not sync, enter them manually in the Canvas Gradebook under Grades.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you are logged in to Canvas and Turnitin with the correct credentials.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies.
  • Use the recommended browser (Chrome or Firefox).
  • Check if Turnitin services are operational by visiting Turnitin Status.
  • Try accessing the assignment from a different device or network.
