Publishing Your Dissertation with ProQuest

Overview

Description: This guide provides a step-by-step process for submitting and publishing your dissertation through ProQuest ETD Administrator. 

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Visit the ProQuest ETD Administrator Site 
  2. Step 2: Create an Account 
    • Click Start the Process to create a student account.

    • Check your email for a confirmation link and verify your account.

  3. Step 3: Submit Your Dissertation 
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to upload your dissertation.

    • Use the Submission steps panel on the left side of the page to track your progress.

  4. Step 4: Choose Your Publishing Type 
    • Traditional Publishing (Free)

    • Open Access Publishing (Fee Applies) 
  5. Step 5: Review & Approval 
    • Once submitted, Capitol Library will review and approve your dissertation.
    • You may be required to make revisions and re-submit. 
  6. Step 6: Processing Time 
    • ProQuest typically takes about a month to process the submission.
    • Once published, your dissertation will be available through ProQuest. 
  7. Step 7: Making Changes After Publishing 
    • Changes after publishing require direct contact with ProQuest.
    • Fees may apply for modifications and re-publication. 

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you are logged into your ProQuest ETD Administrator account. 
  • Use a recommended browser (Chrome or Firefox). 
  • Clear your browser cache if you experience issues with submission. 
  • Double-check that your dissertation file meets formatting requirements.
