How to Enroll in a Payment Plan via the MyCapitol Portal & Transact

Overview

Description: This guide provides step-by-step instructions for students on how to enroll in a tuition payment plan through the MyCapitol Portal using the Transact system. 

Estimated Time of Completion (ETOC): 10–15 minutes 

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the MyCapitol Portal 
    Open your web browser and go to: https://mycapitol.captechu.edu/ics
  2. Log In to the Portal 
    Use the login fields at the top left of the page to sign in. 
    If you’ve forgotten your password, select I forgot my password to reset it.

  3. Select the ‘Student’ Tab 
    Click the Student tab located in the blue toolbar at the top of the page.

  4. Go to ‘Student Finances’ 
    From the left-hand sidebar, click on Student Finances.

  5. Access Transact Payments 
    Select Go to Transact Payments.

  6. Enroll in a Payment Plan
    1. You will be redirected to the Transact Overview Page. 
    2. Click on Enroll in Payment Plan. 
    3. Choose the payment plan that aligns with your current class registration. 

Troubleshooting

  • Make sure you are logged into the portal before accessing Transact. 
  • If the payment plan page doesn’t load, try clearing your browser’s cache. 
  • Use a recommended browser such as Chrome or Firefox.
